Greek Party

I wanted to learn how to cook Greek food. So we had a party! I made souvlaki, tzaziki sauce, baked figs and Greek wedding cookies. Let me know if anyone wants recipes. The other teachers made yummy salads and desserts as well. It was all delicious. I think we might have a fiesta next!

Here's the recipe, Katie:

1/2 kilo plain strained yogurt
1 cucumber
4 garlic cloves
~1/2 tsp salt
~ 2 TB oil
~ 2 TB vinegar

Mince garlic, mix with salt and vinegar, set aside. Peel and rinse cucumber, then grate. Put cucumber shavings in a mesh cloth strainer and squeeze to remove cucumber juice (there will be a LOT). Mix cucumber with yogurt, add garlic mixture and mix, add oil and mix. Chill. Mucho Yummo.
